1.Triphala For Weight Loss and all digestive related problems:

A good and effective digestive system is the key to healthy weight loss and triphala help us achieve it effortlessly. Triphala also treats all digestive related problems.
2.For Hair Growth and scalp problems:
Triphala when applied as a hair pack treats dandruff and stimulates hair growth. It also helps prevent hair loss. For making the hair pack, empty 3 capsules in a bowl, add 2 tablespoons of boiling water to it. Mix well and let it sit till it comes to room temperature and add ¼ cup of plain yogurt and use it as a hair masque for 20-30 minutes.
3.For Constipation:
Haritaki, is very well known for its use in treating constipation. For treating constipation take 1-2 capsules with a glass of warm water before going to bed. Triphala is one of the safest and best medicines for treating constipation.
4. For Eyes: Triphala Eyewash
Triphala improves eyesight when taken internally and helps conjunctivitis and dry, allergy eyes, when used as an eyewash. To make triphala eye wash, empty three capsules in 1 cup of water and boil until it reduces in half. Strain using a fine cloth or coffee filter, cool and soak a cotton ball to apply. This same decoction can be used as a mouth rinse too.
5. For Healthy Skin:
Triphala is taken internally to help build collagen in skin and externally when applied as a face mask. It is great for treating and preventing acne. To make the face mask, take 2 capsules, add 1 tablespoon of warm water and few drops of coconut oil (not for oily skin). Mix and put a thin layer on your face. Wait 20 minutes and rinse off.
6. For Arthritis:
People who are suffering from arthritis should consider taking triphala, as it is a safe formulation if taken in proper dosage of 1 capsule AM and 1 capsule PM. It prevents further bone and cartilage degradation plus builds collagen.
7. For Diabetes:
Triphala is a boon for diabetic patients and has a significant effect in reducing the blood sugar levels. Within 4 hours triphala reduces the blood sugar levels significantly. If you are a diabetic patient please take triphala under medical supervision as taking both prescription diabetic medicine and triphala should be done under careful observation.
8. For Colon and Digestive Related Cancer:
One of the uses of triphala is preventing precancerous lesions. Triphala has been proven to not only prevent the precancerous lesions, but also reverse them! Here is an informative study of colon polyps, cancer and Triphala
9. For Gout and lowering uric acid levels:
Triphala may also help with symptoms of gout. Another review has found that it showed a “strong anti-inflammatory effect” against gout in animals. Authors of a study in mice report that triphala could lower uric acid levels and inflammation, which may explain any effects on gout.
Triphala Dosage:
500mg – 1000mg is recommended per day. Generally 1 capsule in the morning and one in the evening. I would suggest consulting an ayurvedic physician or herbalist for the correct dosage depending on your body type.
Triphala Side Effects: Too much, too fast can lead to diarrhea, flatulence, might lower blood sugar levels drastically and upset stomach. I would suggest slowly increasing the dosage that way it will be very easy for our body to adjust without any adverse side effects. Pregnant women should avoid taking triphala.
